16 mile DH trail – Hatcher Pass – MTB

The 16 mile downhill mountain bike trail was built a few years ago by Gravity Logix . . . it’s a flow trail that flows better the more laps you ride! There’s nothing overly technical although with speed it gets more exciting. The berms are fun, new jumps become apparent each descent. The trail has very distinct sections – upper good dirt with berms, then a rocky section that needs some paying attention and the bottom is actually my favorite part . . . faster and more open and some fun features.

Parking at the bottom is near mile 12 of Palmer Fishhook Road, while the top of the trailhead starts near mile 16 of Palmer Fishhook Road (the first big pullout downhill from the Fishhook parking lot/bathrooms). The trail itself is about 2 miles and 1000’ of descent. It’s an easy shuttle on the paved road and totally worth doing laps!!!
