This is more than a retreat; it’s a recalibration. In the vastness of Alaska’s wilderness, your team will step away from routine and into a new kind of rhythm, one that invites clarity, courage, and coordinated action.

Over the course of this deeply guided experience, we use big landscapes to fuel big ideas. Your team will learn, through the principles of adventure, how to move together: adaptively, powerfully, and with shared purpose. You’ll spend time outside, yes, but more importantly, you’ll come alive.

We begin before you arrive. I meet individually with each member of your team to understand where they’re at and what’s ready to shift. We also identify where the system needs alignment and where hidden capacity is waiting to be unlocked.

During the immersion itself, we blend structured strategic work with dynamic outdoor experiences. You’ll spend a full day crafting a strategic vision—one that is deeply aligned with your team’s intrinsic motivators and anchored in a shared sense of direction. You’ll reconnect to the why behind your work and design a future worth building together.

And it doesn’t end when you leave. I coach the team leader or manager for six months after the immersion, including two site visits for continued support as you learn to operate in alignment with your strategic vision and embed it in the way you work and design the team. This isn’t just a vacation; we ensure that what shifts in Alaska carries forward into everyday operations.

By the end, every individual is materially evolved. The team is in coordinated and effective action, operating with clarity, trust, and renewed momentum. The work becomes vital again—alive, energizing, and aligned.

what are principles of adventure?

Humans evolved in wild places. Our nervous systems, cognition, and instincts were designed for natural environments. But today, we’re asked to thrive in artificial ones, hoping our original design holds.

The Principles of Adventure are my code of translation. A framework for bringing the best of our design into the places it's needed most. Each one is the product of hard-won lessons—shaped by experience, refined in the field, and brought to life through the stories that made it unforgettable for me and alive for others.  And when you join me for an Alaska Immersion, you’ll learn them in your bones as lived wisdom. Alaska becomes the facilitator, not just the backdrop. What you take home is yours forever.

This isn’t a complete list - it couldn’t be. These are just a few principles I return to often, each one forged in lived experience and useful far beyond the backcountry. Whether I’m building teams, skiing volcanoes, or chasing a dream that feels slightly insane, these are the tools that ground me, orient me, and keep me moving toward what matters most.


From the summit of Denali to remote landing strips across Alaska, from mountain bike ventures to ski descents pursued with the earnestness of a holy grail, these principles were forged through exploration, devotion, and chasing dreams.

They’ve carried me through triumph, despair, and everything in between. The wilderness has always been my teacher. Over time, I realized what I was learning out there was shaping who I was becoming everywhere else—in business, in leadership, and in life.
