Rabbit Lakes Trail is an out-and-back mountain bike ride (or hike!) in Anchorage. At just under 5 miles each way, it’s easily done in 2 hours even with a stop at the lake (mandatory if it’s nice out!).
The trail is mostly double-track, though there’s a singletrack along the rider’s right for the initial section of trail that makes it a lot more fun on the descent – while you don’t have to ride in it, it’s fun to try! The trail climbs in earnest from the parking lot and stays in the brush for a bit – because it’s so wide, the trail doesn’t get too overgrown to ride.

I love the trail descriptions and photos. I would find it more helpful if you included trail head directions and an elevation profile. Thank you.
Thanks! In the meantime, I’d suggest using Trailforks … the guide is intended to be used with an app like that! Maybe I’ll improve it over time though and I appreciate your suggestion!
