First we crossed the Drake Passage for 2 days. I spent most of my time horizontal since me and seasickness are silly companions, and it’s nice to feel uncompelled to be active sometimes. We saw lots of birds, including albatross.

Day 1: Roaming around the Argentine Islands at the Ukranian research station of Vernadsky . . . Robyn, Andrew, Ingrid, and Kip happy to be on land again 🙂

Day 2: Touring near Port Lockroy and afternoon Zodiac cruising – we found a pretty sweet little coolie with a nice apron and then hung out with some gentoo penguins 🙂 Dave and Andrew getting ready to make some turns . . .
